The boiler house of the power station Simmering is part of the block-unit 3/4 and has a length of 45.9 m, a width of 33.8 m and a height of 74.2 m. The girder grid – with its top level on 69.5 m – is traversed with several steel girders of various dimensions.

In the course of the prevailing investigation a dynamic monitoring campaign was undertaken in order to determine the global condition of maintenance (the structure’s integrity) as well as the load bearing capacity by means of BRIMOS®.
