The Pentele Bridge is part of the motorway M8 over the Danube. In the context of the European research project IRIS (7-th Framework Programme) an initial dynamic measurement with BRIMOS® Structural Health Monitoring was performed. This investigation targeted on the determination of the global and local maintenance condition (the structure´s integrity) as well as the load bearing capacity.

In the course of a huge Civil Protection Exercise another dynamic measurement was carried out – a follow up assessment was conducted. Possible upcoming measurements are to be referred to this measurement time series – possible changes of the structure’s operational integrity can be quantified with this approach.
